There’s no doubt that becoming parents will make you see the world differently. As we became parents ourselves, we were thrilled that we could find so many options for keeping babies as free of chemicals as possible. There were cloth diapers, safer soaps, organic clothes, and even recycled carpeting! But we were surprised to see so many books geared towards infants that were covered in laminates, foils, and even fake fur (what is that stuff exactly?). And not one of them was created in the USA. Plus from a design perspective, some of the books were just plain bad. So we teamed up with renowned photographer Steven E. Gross to create Squishy Press. Our baby/toddler books are american-made using non-toxic inks, papers, and glues (to learn more about the specifics, click here). We have two titles so far: Silly Faces and Opposites. We are planning on adding four more titles as well as creating some toys, such as stacking blocks, memory card games, puzzles, and whatever else we can conceive. Squishy Press books are sold online at www.squishypress.com, at retailers nationwide, or at our office.
